Take on a key role in advancing manufacturing performance within a forward-thinking industrial environment. As a Site Production System Engineer, you will lead the integration of digital production systems and support site-wide standardization to enhance efficiency, quality, and operational transparency across manufacturing operations in Atsugi-shi.
What You'll Do
- Implement and manage digital solutions such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and QCDM dashboards to monitor and improve production performance.
- Lead performance tracking through digital portals and ensure alignment with global operational standards using V5000 monitoring frameworks.
- Conduct 5S and TPM audits to strengthen workplace organization and equipment reliability.
- Facilitate Kaizen workshops and continuous improvement projects to optimize KPIs and field team productivity.
- Deliver targeted training programs to build capability in lean practices and standardized work methods.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related technical field with a focus on Lean Manufacturing.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly with Lean methodologies, production standards, or digital transformation projects—automotive sector experience is a plus.
- Fluency in English; Japanese language skills are valued.
- Familiarity with MES platforms, digital performance dashboards, and lean tools including VSA, TPM, 5S, and SMED.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities to engage cross-functional teams and lead training sessions effectively.
- Adaptability to diverse work cultures with a collaborative, respectful, and solution-oriented mindset.
