Prudential seeks a Vice President, Solution Architecture Engineer to join the Japan Technology Data Platforms organization. In this role, you will partner with enterprise technology service providers across the Chief Technology Office, Chief Data Office, and senior business leadership in the US and Japan. Your mission is to oversee the strategic rollout of Data Platforms Capabilities across Prudential Japan, leveraging existing company investments to deliver compliant, future-proof data capabilities that drive decision-making and AI applications.
What You'll Do
- Lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization.
- Partner with enterprise technology service providers across CTO, CDO, and senior leadership to oversee rollout of Data Platforms Capabilities across Prudential Japan.
- Work with Application, Infrastructure, and Business Operations teams to leverage existing Data platform investments.
- Roll out best of breed data capabilities across Japan businesses, complying with local regulatory requirements.
- Translate and communicate sophisticated technical solutions and emerging industry trends in understandable terms to a broad range of audiences.
What We're Looking For
- Proven track record of delivery of mission-critical data platforms in large international environments.
- Experience with AWS application and data architecture, including typical Data Lake / Lakehouse patterns.
- Experience with Full Stack application development.
- Experience with modern CI/CD practices including automated code quality and unit testing tooling.
- Proven track record of delivering technological solutions in international markets, balancing local needs and flexibility with global capabilities.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Knowledge of business concepts, tools and processes needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business.
- Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges.
- Excellent problem solving and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields.
- Experience with Claude Code or similar Agentic development tools.
- Prior experience supporting technology for users in Japan.
- Microsoft Fabric familiarity.

- Compensation range: $221,900.00 to $333,000.00.
