The role involves delivering advanced infrastructure solutions for virtual, physical, remote, cloud, and mobile environments while ensuring compliance with security, performance, and access standards through proactive maintenance and system optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers advanced infrastructure solutions to strengthen enterprise-wide virtual, physical, remote, cloud, and mobile environments.
  • Conducts thorough testing and planning to ensure high-quality service delivery and system availability, while maintaining compliance with security, access, and performance standards.
  • Supports continuous process improvement and maintains current documentation, policies, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges and support project execution.
  • Applies expertise in virtualization, cloud platforms, monitoring tools, patch management, and Windows-based virtual technologies to support end-user computing updates.
  • Maintains systems through patching, antivirus management, user profile configuration, experience monitoring, performance tuning, software packaging, and encryption initiatives.
  • Provides technical guidance for the evaluation, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software components, including peripheral device certifications and Tap-to-Print systems.
  • Works with technical teams to resolve advanced issues using VMware, UMS, Citrix XenApp, and XenDesktop for virtual desktop infrastructure deployment.
  • Administers a virtual application delivery system supporting over 2,500 user sessions.
  • Establishes and manages the standard enterprise desktop image used across the organization.
  • Performs root cause analysis and resolves technical issues affecting desktop and application delivery.
  • Partners with infrastructure and technology leads to monitor system capacity during peak usage, maintain remote access services, and support long-term capacity planning.
  • Engages in assessing emerging desktop delivery technologies, including design, deployment, configuration, upgrades, testing, documentation, and scaling efforts.
  • Participates in a 24×7 on-call rotation to handle escalated incidents and operates with minimal supervision.
  • Completes additional tasks as directed by management.
