HP is looking for a UX Architect/Lead to join the Print Global Experience and Design (GxD) organization, specifically the Home Solutions Print Design team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and enhancing the overall structure and flow of user experiences with HP's products and services. You'll apply user-centered design principles to create seamless journeys, intuitive interfaces, and meaningful interactions, while leading design research and driving design directions.
What You'll Do
- Inspire and lead multiple project teams of designers and partners through all stages of user experience design and development.
- Design user experience solutions based on established principles and in accordance with strategy, practices, and guidelines.
- Drive and expand relationships with internal and outsourced partners on user experience design.
- Work collaboratively with Product Marketing, R&D, quality, and support teams to gather insights and derive solutions.
- Test and gather user experience data according to research plans, analyzing and reporting results to stakeholders.
- Review and evaluate designs for compliance, providing tangible feedback to improve product quality.
- Provide domain-specific expertise and a user experience design perspective to cross-organization projects.
- Drive innovation and integration of new technologies and design language into projects.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in HCI, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, User Interface Design, or equivalent.
- Typically 9-12 years' experience.
- Must have end-to-end product design/delivery experience, from ideation to concept creation to implementation.
- Broad experience applying user-centered design, design theories, and concepts to a portfolio of IT and consumer products.
- Experience crafting seamless and intuitive experiences across both digital interfaces and physical product interactions.
- Experience in a fast-paced software environment and ability to execute against aggressive timelines.
- Broad understanding and experience in designing and implementing research and data collection plans for interactive and interface design testing.
- Ability to effectively communicate design data, proposals, and specifications and negotiate options at senior management levels.
- Excellent skills in wireframing and prototyping design tools.
- Experience in UX Research.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing web and mobile solutions (enterprise experience a plus).
