At Novo Nordisk, we are building a sustainable future where our operations are as reliable as the treatments we provide. We are looking for a Utilities Maintenance Technician I to join our team and directly impact system reliability and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Participate in plant shutdown planning and execution.
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on assigned processes in a timely manner.
- Operate, monitor, and control assigned equipment, systems, and processes.
- Partner with process owners to actively improve performance and reliability of process equipment.
- Assure that all maintenance activities are documented in SAP and communicated in shift turnover reports.
- Support the development and establishment of maintenance procedures, maintenance plans, and spare parts lists.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintain good housekeeping for assigned areas.
- Manage your individual training plan and contribute to your growth by learning new systems.
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, night shifts, extended shifts, and/or weekends.
What We're Looking For
- Associate's degree in a relevant field from an accredited university required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience and knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and/or control systems required.
- May consider a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of compressed air, plant steam, vacuum, chilled water, and RO/Pretreatment water systems required.
Nice to Have
- Experience with automated records systems such as SAP/CMMS preferred.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documents.
- Computer literacy.
- Experience in planning/organizing work, checking results, and revising daily work plans.
- A systematic approach to problem solving and troubleshooting; ability to document problems and work them to solution.
- Ability to work with electronic batch records, automated process equipment, and/or BMS and FMS systems.
- Proficient in the operation and design of production utility systems such as purified water, process air, chemical storage, process waste systems, chilled water, clean and dirty steam, high pressure air, vacuum, and air handling equipment.
