The International Refugee Assistance Project seeks a U.S. Litigation Deputy Director to lead and execute complex litigation strategies. This is a full-time, remote litigation role based in New York, dedicated to advancing the rights of refugees and displaced people.
What You'll Do
- Develop and lead high-impact litigation strategies and legal advocacy at the federal and state levels.
- Manage complex litigation from initial investigation through briefing, argument, and appeals.
- Conduct legal research and draft persuasive pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Collaborate with legal teams, partner organizations, and clients to build strong cases.
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor degree and admission to a state bar.
- Significant experience in federal court litigation and appellate advocacy.
- Deep knowledge of administrative law, constitutional law, and immigration law.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex cases and legal projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
