Mithun is seeking a collaborative Urban Designer with 1–3 years of professional experience. In this role, you'll join an interdisciplinary team dedicated to advancing resilient urbanism and equitable growth. You'll contribute to a range of projects, from community and public realm plans to district-scale work, as part of a firm internationally recognized for its commitment to sustainability and justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
What You'll Do
- Support Urban Design projects through data gathering, research, analysis, and creative assistance.
- Perform design studies to help develop concept and framework plans.
- Develop analytical and design graphics.
- Contribute to the preparation of design documentation and client materials.
- Coordinate input and produce revisions to drawings and project deliverables.
- Participate in community engagement workshops and charrettes.
- Communicate urban design concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with architects, interior designers, landscape architects, and other urban designers.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's or master's degree in urban planning, urban design, landscape architecture, or architecture.
- 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in urban design or architecture.
- A strong understanding of systems thinking and excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working at the district scale, such as on projects of 10+ acres.
- Experience preparing presentation materials, reports, research, and analyses.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and parametric design tools.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and GIS.
Nice to Have
- Proficiency with Revit.
- Post-graduate professional experience.
- Experience with community engagement.
- Active involvement in professional organizations such as APA, AIA, ASLA, or ULI.
