Equitable is hiring an Underwriting Operations Representative to support the underwriting process for group employee benefits. This hybrid role is based out of our Charlotte, NC office, where you will be a key partner in helping clients secure their financial well-being.
What You'll Do
- Meet turnaround times for RFP Inventory assignments
- Process requests from distribution partners and internal stakeholders, partnering with Underwriting to ensure case setup is correct
- Identify reasons for non-standard processing of RFPs
- Create quote cards and proposals for a portion of groups after the RFP intake process
- Work with Underwriting to edit proposals
- Release proposals for a portion of groups to sales executives
- Work with AI to improve its accuracy and function by providing feedback and suggestions
- Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Continue to learn product and process knowledge for self-development and future advancement
What We're Looking For
- Basic understanding of Document Management, including using EXL, Word, SharePoint, and other Microsoft Office platforms
- Basic understanding of effective communication with internal partners, including strong written skills
- Basic understanding of managing multiple priorities with varying deadlines
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with Salesforce
- Experience with Group Employee Benefits (Life, Disability, Dental, Vision, Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital Indemnity)
