Lead Engineering Innovation for Steam Turbine Performance
As a Turbine Design Engineer, you will drive the technical development of retrofit solutions for existing steam turbine systems. Your work will center on optimizing steampath design to enhance output, efficiency, and equipment longevity, directly supporting global customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering teams in delivering high-quality retrofit designs that meet performance, cost, and timeline objectives
- Develop and refine steampath configurations to improve turbine output and reliability
- Guide projects from design release through installation, ensuring timely technical decisions
- Conduct feasibility assessments and produce detailed technical documentation
- Support resolution of technical issues in manufacturing and field operations
- Collaborate with international engineering groups to deliver integrated service solutions
Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or related engineering field is required. Candidates must have substantial experience in rotating equipment design, services engineering, or operational support. Fluency in English is essential.
Preferred candidates will hold an advanced degree or have completed leadership development programs. Experience in steam turbine component design, retrofit methodologies, or gas turbine systems is highly valued. Demonstrated leadership, intercultural communication skills, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement are key to success.
Work Environment and Flexibility
This hybrid role supports global collaboration, with primary locations in Schenectady, Baden, and Querétaro. Work arrangements accommodate cross-regional coordination, enabling engagement across time zones and engineering centers.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range is $113,200 to $188,800, adjusted by geographic differential in certain regions. The position includes a discretionary annual bonus.
