UPS is looking for a TUPSS GIS Mapping Specialist to provide critical location analysis, mapping, and real estate services for franchise sales development. In this remote role, you will support GIS and site selection teams by creating reports, modifying datasets, and performing geographical analysis.
What You'll Do
- Perform geographical mapping using geoprocessing tools and software.
- Gather and analyze requirements from TUPSS real estate supervisors to identify customer expectations for mapping and GIS reports.
- Work with TUPSS real estate managers and supervisors to understand program functionality and output requirements.
- Utilize extensive software knowledge to perform GIS analysis and create professional map documents for a wide variety of projects.
- Modify, update, and audit spatial datasets.
- Select appropriate geoprocessing tools for comparative and competitive analysis and adjust appropriately if errors occur.
- Create GIS documentation of processes and procedures.
- Apply cartographic skills and understanding of mapping guidelines to custom map design.
- Partner with project stakeholders to discuss project solutions, timeframes, and design options.
- Provide recommendations and present proofs to obtain customer sign-off through project completion.
- Collect and assimilate raw data into reporting templates.
- Provide feedback on current market trends, research, and analysis to provide a reference source for current projects.
- Perform research and analysis and continuously take part in training and continued education opportunities to maintain GIS trends and software technology.
- Receive ongoing training on GIS Environmental Systems Research Institute (Esri) software to ensure systems remain operational.
- Partner with GIS vendors to develop application enhancements and streamline current processes.
- Test, troubleshoot and resolve enhancements to ensure development meets user requirements before launching applications.
What We're Looking For
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
