APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is hiring a Truck Driver to deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites. You will operate a ready-mix truck, ensure the quality of the product delivered, and provide top-tier customer service as part of a dynamic, growth-oriented company committed to safety and innovation.
What You'll Do
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting maintenance issues.
- Safely operate a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver to construction sites, following all laws and dispatch instructions.
- Ensure delivered product quality, including slump and proper mix.
- Add materials like fiber or color to concrete as required.
- Maintain clear communication with Dispatcher and complete all delivery tickets.
- Secure proper signatures and collect payments from customers.
- Respond to customer questions about product knowledge and basic construction techniques.
- Rinse out the drum and chutes, and dispose of slurry per procedures.
- Monitor vehicle gauges and perform minor field repairs or operator maintenance.
- Maintain accurate operator logs, sales records, and Department of Transportation forms.
- Report any equipment problems, defective materials, or unusual conditions.
- Keep the work area and vehicle clean and orderly.
- Adhere strictly to prescribed safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain regular and timely attendance.
- Perform other assigned duties to meet business needs.
What We're Looking For
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including navigating truck steps and manipulating controls.
- Strong commitment to safety and following detailed procedures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to accurately complete logs, reports, and transaction records.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.

- Compensation: $23.87 - $29.84 per hour, depending on experience, with potential for overtime.
