Lead complex electrical projects from planning to completion in high-demand data center environments. As a Senior Project Manager, you'll be responsible for directing all phases of electrical construction, ensuring projects meet safety, timeline, and financial targets across national sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycles, from initial planning through closeout, maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
- Create detailed schedules, budgets, and project documentation using tools like Procore and Microsoft Project.
- Lead regular coordination meetings, track progress, and manage change orders and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and field teams to align execution with project goals.
- Identify potential risks and implement proactive solutions to maintain performance and compliance.
- Oversee vendor and subcontractor contracts, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and lead training initiatives to uphold a zero-incident culture.
- Support professional growth of junior team members through mentorship and on-the-job guidance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years managing electrical construction projects, preferably in mission-critical settings.
- Deep familiarity with electrical systems, NEC standards, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to lead teams, resolve challenges, and communicate clearly with clients and internal groups.
- Experience with project management platforms such as Procore and Microsoft Project.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work on-site as project demands require.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and accountability.
Preferred Credentials
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position offering flexibility to work remotely between travel assignments. Project locations span nationwide, including Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and other key sites. Schedules may require extended on-site periods, including occasional evenings or weekends.
