Coordinate essential medical transportation for patients across the United States in a fully remote role with structured working hours. This position plays a critical role in connecting patients with reliable, in-network transport services, ensuring timely access to medical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Confirm patient eligibility and insurance coverage for non-emergency medical transport
- Collaborate with approved transportation providers to schedule and adjust rides as needed
- Handle complex scheduling cases, identifying alternatives when standard options are unavailable
- Ensure every available avenue is explored to secure patient transport
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, providers, and internal teams
- Keep detailed, up-to-date records of all verifications, bookings, and case progress
- Take full responsibility for cases from initial request through to completion
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in medical dispatch, insurance verification, EMS coordination, or similar healthcare logistics
- Familiarity with U.S. healthcare systems, insurance processes, and medical transportation protocols
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively and work independently
- Stable internet connection: minimum 25 Mbps upload and download via wired Ethernet
- Uninterrupted power supply to support operations during outages
- Available to work Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM South African time)
- Willingness to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays as required
