About the Role
This position is responsible for managing daily transcription operations, supervising remote staff, and maintaining high standards of data integrity and turnaround times.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations for transcription teams handling large volumes of audio content
- Monitor quality assurance metrics and implement corrective actions when needed
- Coordinate with project leads to meet deadlines and adjust staffing as required
- Train and support remote transcriptionists to ensure adherence to guidelines
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures for transcription workflows
- Track performance using operational dashboards and reporting tools
- Identify bottlenecks in production and recommend process improvements
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security protocols
- Manage escalations from clients or internal stakeholders
- Maintain documentation for all operational processes and team guidelines
- Oversee onboarding for new transcription team members
- Conduct regular performance reviews for remote staff
- Optimize resource allocation based on project demand forecasts
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and transcription staff
- Implement feedback loops to improve transcription accuracy
- Support integration of new tools or platforms into existing workflows
- Ensure consistent application of style and formatting standards
- Respond to urgent production issues outside standard business hours
- Prepare weekly summaries of team performance and output metrics
- Collaborate with quality assurance to audit random samples of transcribed content
- Maintain version control for all process documentation
- Troubleshoot technical issues affecting transcription platforms
- Escalate systemic problems to senior management promptly
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Ensure all team members follow established escalation protocols
Nice to Have
- Experience managing teams in the language services or data annotation sector
- Background in linguistics, communications, or related disciplines
