Citi is hiring a Trader for a senior-level position within its Markets and Securities Services division. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a trading book, managing its risk, and ensuring it delivers on budgeted revenues while coordinating with key stakeholders to develop the trading franchise.
What You'll Do
- Oversee a trading book to generate revenues and manage risk for the business.
- Trade a book and deliver on budgeted revenues.
- Coordinate with Sales, Research, and other organizations across Markets and Securities Services.
- Establish and maintain key relationships to deliver trades to the desk.
- Anticipate client demand in each respective product and market.
- Coordinate with desk analysts and sales to develop the franchise.
- Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance to ensure appropriate governance and control.
- Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance, supervision, expense discipline, and ethics.
- Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures, and Citi’s Code of Conduct.
- Obtain and maintain all required registrations and licenses for your role.
What We're Looking For
- 2-7 years of experience in a related trading role.
- Knowledge of respective products and clients.
- Required licensing and registrations as applicable.
- Advanced analytical and numerical competency.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Effective interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze and pitch situations and determine suitable counterparties.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg, booking systems, trading protocol, and closing technicalities.
