As a Trade Specialist, you'll lead sales efforts across the Philadelphia territory, promoting premium brands to end-user customers in the construction and industrial sectors. Your primary focus will be achieving revenue targets by delivering tailored product and service solutions that meet client needs.
What You'll Do
- Drive top-line sales performance by representing DEWALT, STANLEY, and other trusted brands to a diverse customer base
- Build and sustain strategic relationships with key decision-makers, including project managers, safety officers, engineers, and procurement teams
- Manage and execute CORE and other user agreements, ensuring compliance and maximizing value for all parties
- Mentor local sales teams on effective engagement strategies with end-users across multiple organizational levels
- Collaborate with marketing partners to roll out promotional campaigns and track performance outcomes
- Use Salesforce.com to plan activities, track interactions, and report on key account progress
- Coordinate with distributors, service centers, and product teams to align regional efforts with broader business objectives
- Provide timely feedback on wins and challenges to refine sales approaches and improve future results
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently—up to 50% of time within the assigned territory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field—construction industry experience may substitute for formal education
- Minimum of three years in sales or marketing within the construction supply sector, with documented success
- Experience engaging senior-level stakeholders such as executives, site directors, and operations leaders
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities with a focus on problem-solving and relationship-building
- Capacity to balance empathy and persistence to deliver consistent results
