Torrid is looking for a Manager, Store Systems to lead the technology that powers our retail stores. You’ll be responsible for the planning, implementation, support, and optimization of all in-store systems, including point-of-sale, back-office tools, and store networks, ensuring they meet business needs and compliance standards.
What You'll Do
- Lead store technology projects, system upgrades, and rollouts, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of in-store systems including POS, mobile POS, Omni-Channel Fulfillment, inventory management, and RFID.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to schedule resources and define project milestones.
- Work closely with Store Operations, Loss Prevention, Customer Service, Marketing, and eCommerce teams to implement effective solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve store efficiency, customer experience, and employee productivity.
- Ensure store systems meet PCI-DSS and other compliance standards and work with InfoSec to address risks.
- Monitor and control project scope, budget, timeline, risks, and issues.
- Comply with and demonstrate knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle methodology (Waterfall/agile).
- Complete administrative tasks, such as time, invoice, and use access approval.
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers for store systems hardware and software.
- Assign internal project resources and manage direct reports.
- Set performance targets and monitor progress against agreed criteria.
- Allocate resources to support projects, enhancements, and defect remediation.
- Ensure a business perspective on integrating new technical capabilities, including deployment planning.
- Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of IT experience in retail technology.
- 5+ years managing Oracle Xstore POS and XOCS.
- Deep knowledge in developing POS/Client Server applications using JAVA, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, SQL, RMI, XML and OOPs methodology.
- Experience with RESTful Web Services and SOAP.
- Server Software knowledge in Webspace, Apache, Windows 2000, Unix (AIX or other), Linux and other Java application servers.
- Experience managing and leading an IT team, and developing/managing operational and project budgets.
- Experience managing projects utilizing agile methodology.
- Experience managing software and hardware rollouts across multiple locations.
- Experience meeting aggressive targets with streamlined processes and innovative methods.

- Experience integrating POS systems with Oracle Retail ERP, eCommerce, and loyalty systems.
