The TKYC Analyst supports asset managers in executing private equity transactions by conducting detailed Know Your Customer (KYC) assessments. This role ensures adherence to anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing, and jurisdiction-specific regulatory requirements, while aligning with internal compliance policies across diverse transaction types.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with legal, compliance, and investment teams to understand the structure and objectives of transactions
- Communicate directly with clients and external parties via email or phone to collect necessary documentation and clarify ownership details
- Analyze complex ownership chains, including funds, special purpose vehicles, partnerships, and trusts, to identify ultimate counterparties
- Perform risk assessments focused on financial crime, corruption, and reputational exposure once documentation is complete
- Coordinate with compliance departments to verify regulatory alignment and support timely deal progression
- Conduct legal and factual research, maintain internal resources, and contribute to practice development initiatives
