SentiLink is looking for a Threat Intelligence Researcher to monitor fraud ecosystems across various platforms, collect and structure intelligence data, and deliver actionable reports to support our fraud detection capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Identify and monitor high-signal fraud ecosystems across platforms such as Telegram, Signal, WhatsApp, Potato, darknet forums, and other emerging channels.
- Build and maintain a live directory of relevant communities, vendors, and schemes; track platform migrations, shutdowns, and activity shifts.
- Use and manage multiple digital identities to ensure persistent, discreet access to closed or semi-closed environments.
- Collect, archive, and organize daily data related to key actors, fraud types, and operational schemes—ensuring coverage aligns with defined intelligence priorities.
- Structure collected data with clear metadata to support downstream pipelines (e.g., OCR, detection models).
- Develop and deliver weekly intelligence reports for continuous monitoring and assessment.
- Proactively explore and onboard at least two new high-signal platforms.
- Maintain and iterate on access infrastructure, including personas, tooling, and operational processes for sustained monitoring.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated interest in fraud ecosystems, open-source intelligence (OSINT), or investigative research.
- Ability to dedicate 4–8 hours daily immersed in unstructured, sensitive, and dynamic online environments.
- Strong technical fluency; comfortable with navigating unfamiliar platforms, managing multiple accounts, and using investigative tools.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail—able to structure large volumes of data clearly and consistently.
- Strong multitasking skills; capable of tracking trends, actors, and discussions across multiple sources simultaneously.
- Excellent written communication skills for clear, concise, and actionable intelligence reporting.
- Strong analytical judgment to identify meaningful patterns, actors, or threats within noisy environments.
- Operates with a high degree of discretion and maintains strong operational security practices.
