Equip Health is hiring a Therapist, Eating Disorder to provide virtual, evidence-based therapy as part of a multidisciplinary care team. You will deliver treatment for eating disorders and comorbid diagnoses, ensuring individuals across California can access effective care from the start.
What You'll Do
- Provide evidence-based family, individual, and group therapy for eating disorders and comorbid diagnoses virtually.
- Implement treatments like family-based treatment (FBT), enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E), and cognitive behavioral therapy for ARFID.
- Maintain a caseload of 30-40 patients, delivering 20-26 hours of direct care weekly.
- Assess and diagnose mental health conditions.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, dietitians, and mentors on a multidisciplinary team.
- Utilize between-session messaging through Equip’s EMR to support patients and communicate.
- Participate in Treatment Team meetings, supervision, and department meetings.
- Maintain licensure in your home state and obtain licensure in other states as requested.
What We're Looking For
- Active, unrestricted, and independent psychotherapy license from at least one US state in this posting's time zone.
- Ability to support a caseload of patients of all ages, with co-occurring conditions, diverse backgrounds, and varying acuity.
- Passion for delivering evidence-based care and expanding access to treatment.
- Ability to provide care 2 evenings per week (available until 8pm in your caseload's primary time zone).
- Enthusiastic, strong team player.
- Ability to safely and effectively deliver care in a virtual setting.
- Passion for mental health and eating disorder treatment.
Nice to Have
- Experience in Family-Based Treatment and/or eating disorder treatment.
- Experience with evidence-based treatment and/or intensive treatment settings.
- Experience supporting patients with suicidal ideation and trauma.
- Case management experience and/or experience working closely with a multidisciplinary care team.

You will join a multidisciplinary care team including nutrition, medical, psychiatry, and mentorship professionals, collaborating virtually to provide comprehensive patient care.

- Compensation: $80,000 to $115,000 Annually
