General Dynamics Mission Systems is hiring a Test Engineer to serve as a Senior Test Engineer within our Software Quality Assurance (SQA) organization. You will execute independent testing across the full software development lifecycle, supporting program success from planning through delivery.
What You'll Do
- Execute independent testing across the full software development lifecycle, including test development, formal reviews, test execution, and results documentation.
- Communicate regularly with project leads and contribute to customer reviews.
- Support program success from planning through delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field.
- 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
- Experience with test planning, development, execution, and closeout activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Commitment to process, quality, and continuous professional development.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving program needs.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with DOORS or similar requirements management tools.
- Experience with waterfall and/or agile software development frameworks.
- Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
