Wipro is seeking a Test Engineer to support quality assurance for web-based and device-based applications, particularly social media platforms and their features. The role involves developing test plans, executing manual and automated tests, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed test plans for web based and device-based applications/features (social media applications (Family of Apps) and their software features).
- Develop detailed test cases/test suits for the application features, change requests and new biz requirements
- Execute test cases to test new features, changes, defects regression and new releases.
- Perform manual and automated testing across multiple platforms (mobile, desktop based).
- Identify, isolate, and report bugs with clear reproduction steps and logs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to triage issues and verify fixes.
- Maintain test environments and manage test data for repeatable validation.
- Test suite and defect log maintenance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in software/hardware testing or QA roles.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, and defect tracking.
- Experience in test management, defect management activities and related tools
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, pytest).
- Good understanding of application management processes – Software development, DevOps, deployments, quality assurance
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross functional teams and stakeholders (biz, dev, infra, security etc)
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with social media applications, platforms and media is highly desirable.
- Experience with social media application testing
- Knowledge of social media application features, system integrations
- Comfort working in fast-paced, experimental environments.
