The Test Engineer will ensure software quality for web and device-based applications, with a focus on social media platforms. Responsibilities include creating test plans and cases, executing tests manually and through automation, identifying and reporting bugs, and working with development and business teams. The position operates in a hybrid setup based in Warsaw or Gdansk, requiring four days per week in office.
Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive test plans for web and device-based applications, including social media platforms and their features.
- Design detailed test cases and test suites for application features, change requests, and new business requirements.
- Execute test cases to validate new features, modifications, defect fixes, regression scenarios, and software releases.
- Conduct both manual and automated testing across multiple platforms, including mobile and desktop environments.
- Detect, isolate, and document software defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting logs.
- Work with cross-functional teams to assess issues, prioritize fixes, and confirm resolution.
- Manage and maintain test environments and ensure availability of test data for consistent validation.
- Keep test suites and defect logs up to date and organized.
- Support ongoing enhancement of QA processes, methodologies, and testing tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in software or hardware testing or quality assurance roles.
- Solid knowledge of QA methodologies, test case development, and defect tracking procedures.
- Hands-on experience in test and defect management, including use of relevant tools.
- Proficiency with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, and pytest.
- Good understanding of software development, DevOps, deployment cycles, and application management processes.
- Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including business, development, infrastructure, and security.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital media ecosystems is highly preferred.
- Prior experience testing social media applications.
- Knowledge of social media application features and system integrations.
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast-moving and experimental work environments.
