Wipro is hiring a Test Engineer to join our team focused on ensuring the quality of web and device-based applications, particularly in the social media space. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive test plans, executing test cases, and collaborating with teams to deliver high-quality software features.
What You'll Do
- Develop detailed test plans for web based and device-based applications/features, including social media applications and their software features.
- Develop detailed test cases/test suits for application features, change requests, and new business requirements.
- Execute test cases to test new features, changes, defect regression, and new releases.
- Perform manual and automated testing across multiple platforms, including mobile and desktop.
- Identify, isolate, and report bugs with clear reproduction steps and logs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to triage issues and verify fixes.
- Maintain test environments and manage test data for repeatable validation.
- Manage test suite and defect log maintenance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in software/hardware testing or QA roles.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, and defect tracking.
- Experience in test management, defect management activities, and related tools.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or pytest.
- Good understanding of application management processes including software development, DevOps, deployments, and quality assurance.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with social media applications, platforms, and media.
- Experience with social media application testing.
- Knowledge of social media application features and system integrations.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, experimental environments.
