Parsons Transportation Group is hiring a Test Automation Engineer to design, develop, and execute automated tests, ensuring software quality and functionality. You will create and maintain test scripts, frameworks, and automation tools to streamline testing and catch issues early as part of our Federal Solutions team.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with development teams to understand code, identify potential areas for automation, and resolve issues during testing.
- Design and develop test cases.
- Write and maintain test scripts.
- Create and optimize test frameworks.
- Execute manual and automated tests.
- Analyze test results and report defects.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in test automation tools and techniques.
What We're Looking For
- BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of related professional experience.
- Active Secret clearance which requires US citizenship.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles (manual, regression, performance, integration).
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Appium).
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Robot Framework).
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and diagnose software issues.
- Communication and collaboration skills to work with developers, testers, and stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, ORMs, RESTful APIs.
