Exmark & Spartan Mowers, part of The Toro Company, is looking for a Territory Rental Manager to achieve divisional rental sales objectives through our Rental Direct and Manufacturer Representative network. You will be responsible for driving growth across the Construction, Landscape, and related industries within your assigned territory by executing rental-focused sales strategies.
What You'll Do
- Achieve annual and quarterly rental sales objectives aligned with divisional financial goals.
- Develop, manage, and review sales forecasts by product group and rental customer type.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with the National Sales Manager to assess performance and opportunities.
- Partner with Manufacturer Representatives to create and execute annual rental sales plans.
- Train and continuously develop Manufacturer Representative personnel on Toro rental products, programs, and value propositions.
- Enhance sales effectiveness through coaching on rental sales execution and territory management.
- Infuse understanding of Toro culture, values, and expectations within the Manufacturer Representative network.
- Evaluate Manufacturer Representative performance and collaborate on corrective action plans.
- Communicate, manage, and monitor rental consignment programs.
- Review consignment performance quarterly to ensure optimal inventory utilization.
- Ensure consistent execution of rental programs, promotions, and initiatives.
- Build and maintain effective communication systems with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish strong working relationships with SWS National Account field management.
- Provide market insights, competitive intelligence, and product feedback to Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams.
- Monitor and manage travel and entertainment expenses within guidelines.
- Maintain professional working relationships with senior leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Ensure all administrative responsibilities are completed accurately and on time.
What We're Looking For
- HS Diploma minimal education required.
- Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience selling durable goods in a B2B environment, industry experience and/or rental channel experience also considered.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales objectives and manage territory performance.
- Strong working knowledge of forecasting, sales planning, and territory management tools.
- Highly motivated, self-directed individual with strong communication and organizational skills.
Nice to Have
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree or MBA in related field of study preferred.
- Experience selling through and managing Manufacturer Representative networks.
- Rental industry experience within construction, landscape, or related equipment segments.
- Proven ability to train, coach, and influence external sales teams.
Team & Environment
This role partners with and manages the Manufacturer Representative network and reports directly to the National Sales Manager.
Work Mode
This is a local-country position based in one of the following territories: US North East, Upper Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, or Canada.
