Position Overview
This role leads sales initiatives for municipal water treatment systems within a defined region of the Pacific Northwest. Reporting to the Director of Equipment Sales, the Territory Manager is responsible for expanding market presence, securing new business, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners. The position plays a key role in advancing the company’s water engineering objectives through strategic planning and technical engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to meet and exceed revenue goals in the assigned territory
- Develop and implement territory-specific strategies in collaboration with manufacturer’s representatives and direct clients
- Maintain active relationships with engineers, contractors, and municipal decision-makers
- Train and guide manufacturer’s reps, ensuring alignment with sales objectives and performance tracking
- Deliver technical expertise to support customer needs and project requirements
- Prepare accurate revenue forecasts and contribute to long-term planning
- Represent the organization at trade shows and industry events
- Travel regularly within the region to support field activities and client engagements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field preferred
- Five years of experience in technical sales, with a focus on municipal water treatment equipment or similar process systems
- Proven track record in managing complex sales cycles and account relationships
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate solutions effectively
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position based in the Pacific Northwest, allowing remote work with approximately 50% travel throughout the region. Candidates must be prepared for regular on-site visits and industry events.
Compensation
Base salary range of $110,000 to $120,000, plus performance-based commission. Total earnings are tied to sales results and territory growth.
