About the Role
The instructor will deliver English for Speakers of Other Languages instruction, assist with program coordination tasks, and support participant engagement in a culturally responsive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide English language instruction to adult learners
- Develop lesson plans aligned with ESOL standards
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods
- Maintain accurate attendance and academic records
- Support classroom management and a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with program staff on student needs
- Participate in team meetings and planning sessions
- Assist with orientation for new program participants
- Communicate regularly with program coordinators
- Help organize educational materials and classroom supplies
- Support student goal-setting and academic planning
- Refer students to additional support services as needed
- Contribute to program evaluation and reporting
- Adapt curriculum for diverse learning levels
- Promote cultural sensitivity in instruction
- Use technology for teaching and communication
- Attend professional development opportunities
- Ensure compliance with program policies
- Support bilingual communication when necessary
- Maintain confidentiality of participant information
- Assist with data entry and recordkeeping
- Engage in community outreach activities
- Support grant-related reporting requirements
- Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Respond to participant feedback constructively
Compensation
Hourly rate commensurate with experience
Work Arrangement
Part-time, temporary, on-site with possible hybrid components

Schedule
