CVS Health is hiring a Telepharmacy Technician to oversee the daily operations of a Telepharmacy Remote Dispensing Pharmacy in Chandler, AZ. In this onsite role, you will manage a location where pharmacist oversight is provided remotely, focusing on secure operations, inventory management, and building patient loyalty through exceptional service.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the safe and secure operation of the Remote Dispensing Pharmacy, including serving as a keyholder.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including controlled substances, cycle counts, and maintaining perpetual inventory.
- Execute daily inventory management practices, including ordering, returns, outdates, and temperature logging.
- Review the monthly Inventory Excellence Report and partner with the Telepharmacy team to improve inventory accuracy.
- Serve as the point person for annual inventories, planogram resets, and pharmacy-related AP Pulse Checks.
- Receive and act upon all operational communications, completing required tasks through designated systems.
- Execute WeCARE workflow best practices to improve total store service foundations and patient care.
- Demonstrate a growth mindset, inspiring the team to embrace change for positive business outcomes.
- Mentor peers during the onboarding, training, and development of new Telepharmacy hires.
- Actively expand your clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge to better assist customers.
- Communicate effectively among patients, co-workers, insurance companies, and prescribers within legal guidelines.
- Follow and ensure full compliance with all CVS workflow procedures and quality assurance standards.
- Collect and update patient medical history information on customer profiles.
- Ensure patient outreach calls are completed as part of the workflow.
- Attend to all patients and customers at the Telepharmacy counter and via phone calls.
- Create genuine connections by focusing on service and facilitating audio/visual access to the Supervising Pharmacist for counseling.
- Partner with front store management to drive customer service, including scheduling.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential problems to ensure customers receive medications when needed.
- Resolve customer concerns, complaints, and issues, involving the Pharmacist or Front Store Manager as appropriate.
- Support high-performing teams by contributing to individual and team goals and adapting to changes.
- Proactively take on additional tasks and identify opportunities to improve patient care and customer service.
- Professionally address all customer inquiries regarding service and HIPAA complaints.
- Promote new service offerings and initiatives to the appropriate customer base.
- Participate in required district and store operational meetings and action planning.
- Coordinate and implement support staff training and development with the field training team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional Telepharmacy department according to CVS standards.
- Maintain in-stock inventory by coordinating and monitoring inventory management activities and policies.
- Help establish true ownership for inventory management activities within the Telepharmacy.
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A minimum of 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician (may be 2+ years in select states).
- PTCB National Certification or an equivalent state-accepted national Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- High school diploma or General Equivalent Development (GED).
- Meet state-level licensure requirements, which vary by state.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Strong attention and focus: the ability to concentrate on a task over an extended period without distraction.
- Customer service orientation: actively looking for ways to help people in a friendly manner and responding appropriately to customer reactions.
- Effective communication skills: using and understanding verbal and written communication to interact with customers and colleagues.
- Mathematical reasoning: ability to use math to solve problems, such as calculating a prescription's day's supply.
- Problem resolution: ability to judge when something is wrong and choose the best course of action in complex situations.
- Physical ability to meet demands including: remaining upright on feet for sustained periods; moving about on foot; lifting, scanning, and bagging items; finger dexterity; reaching overhead; extending hand(s) and arm(s); precision control; stooping; close visual acuity; oral communication; and occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
