DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan / Tenet Healthcare is looking for a Telemetry Associate to support our dedicated medical and nursing teams. In this role, you will provide essential monitoring services and administrative support, contributing to the compassionate, exceptional healthcare we deliver.
What You'll Do
- Assist medical and nursing staff in the continuous monitoring of patient ECG rhythms.
- Maintain and troubleshoot monitoring equipment, alerting repair personnel to malfunctions.
- Initiate tracing for rhythm changes and immediately alert nursing personnel.
- Monitor rate limits and determine if irregularities stem from patient rhythm or equipment issues.
- Perform a variety of clerical and receptionist duties for your assigned patient care service or nursing unit.
- Operate an on-line computer terminal to transcribe orders and enter, retrieve, and correct patient information.
What We're Looking For
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to successfully complete a three to four week program in basic cardiac arrhythmia monitoring.
Nice to Have
- Previous hospital experience.
- Six months of prior job experience with substantial computer usage; OR credit hours in computer training or a college program.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, such as through completion of a related course.
