US Service Animals is seeking a licensed Mental Health Professional to conduct telehealth diagnostic assessments for clients seeking Emotional Support Animals or Psychiatric Service Animals. This is a 1099 contract position with flexible scheduling, serving clients in Guam, Indiana, Ohio, and Colorado, with consultations conducted via video as needed.
What You'll Do
- Receive referrals for consultations within states where you are licensed
- Contact clients within 24 hours of being added to your waiting room to complete or schedule their consultation
- Perform diagnostic mental health assessments to evaluate client eligibility for an Emotional Support Animal or Psychiatric Service Animal
- Use DSM-5 criteria and any appropriate scales or assessments to determine diagnosis and need
- Ask questions to understand the client's environment and assess potential benefit from an Emotional Support Animal or Psychiatric Service Animal
- Approve clients for an Emotional Support Animal if clinically appropriate
- Communicate and collaborate with SAPS LLC agents to ensure proper documentation and client support
- Support timely completion of client paperwork, letters, and account updates through efficient communication
What We're Looking For
- Ability to practice and diagnose independently in Guam, Puerto Rico, IN, OH, or CO
- Must be comfortable conducting video consults in states that require it
- Weekend availability
- MD (Doctor of Medicine) if licensed in CO
