Information Security Risk Manager Full-time Department: Flex Employment Hours: Full time IS Risk Manager – Contract (Within IR35) 3-month contract (potential extension) | East Midlands | Primarily remote with occasional on-premise work Telefónica Tech seeks an accomplished IS Risk Manager to elevate the technological risk management function for a key Client. This pivotal role encompasses oversight of IT and OT risk across an expansive, intricate digital landscape, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals, regulatory compliance, and ongoing transformation initiatives. Role Overview The successful candidate will spearhead and cultivate the Risk Management framework within the IS department, establishing a robust risk culture, enhancing processes, and guaranteeing comprehensive technology risk identification, assessment, and governance. Collaborating closely with the Group CISO, leadership teams, and technical stakeholders, you'll deliver expert guidance, direct risk remediation, and maintain consistent governance across the organization. Key Responsibilities - Develop and lead the IS/IT/OT Risk Management framework and associated governance - Deliver expert risk assessment, analysis, and strategic guidance across all IS functions - Monitor and report risk metrics, KPIs/KRIs, and remediation plan progress - Propel continuous improvement of risk processes, policies, and awareness - Instill a strong risk culture through targeted training, education, and stakeholder engagement - Represent risk at senior governance forums and committees - Ensure comprehensive risk escalation, management, and alignment with enterprise risk activities Qualifications Skills & Experience - Extensive background in IT/IS risk management within complex organizational environments - Proficiency in frameworks like ISO 31000, ITIL, and structured project management methodologies - Proven experience developing and implementing Risk Management frameworks - Advanced stakeholder influence capabilities and risk mitigation expertise - Strong communication skills bridging technical and non-technical audiences - Critical National Infrastructure (Utilities) and OT environment experience mandatory Contract Details - Within IR35 - 3-month contract with extension potential - East Midlands location, remote-first with initial onboarding on-site Telefónica Tech champions inclusivity, believing diversity drives innovation.
