About the Role

Lockheed Martin Canada is looking for a Senior Production Test Technician to join our Production Operations Test Team of 32 professionals. You will be a key contributor to the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Pilot Training Device product line, integrating hardware and software during production testing in Orlando and installing devices at customer sites.

What You'll Do

  • Perform the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems, and systems using published procedures.
  • Verify documented functional and technical specifications, identify hardware/software interface problems, modify components to defined parameters, and ensure integration of the entire system.
  • Set up user accounts, install system-wide software, and adjust and calibrate systems as required.
  • Assist test engineers in the design and development of new testing equipment, procedures, manufacturing processes, or requirements.
  • Within 6 months of start date, travel to US and International customer sites to install F-35 Pilot Training Devices.
  • Maintain test assets and the test area to ensure efficient operations.

What We're Looking For

  • Knowledge of hardware (servers, switches, I/O modules, interface panels) and software (Linux OS, Windows OS, VMware) to correctly diagnose hardware or software induced errors.
  • High School diploma with specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or proven ability to perform assigned technical tasks, plus 1 year of experience.
  • Familiarity with configuring and managing HPE, Extreme, Arista, and Juniper network devices.
  • Basic knowledge of computer rack cabling, hard drive cloning, installing software licenses, IP configuration, performing firmware updates, and system hardening.
  • Must be a US Citizen for government security clearance consideration.

Nice to Have

  • Ability to provide guidance or leadership to lower-level personnel.
  • Capability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.
  • Experience with training simulators.
  • Experience or familiarity with Ansible or other network automation tools.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) to effectively communicate technical status with customers and leadership.
  • Current approval to access JSF Special Access Programs.

  • Compensation: $41,100 - $72,450 (CA, MA, NY excl. major metros, CO, HI, IL, MD, MN, NJ, VT, WA, DC); $47,300 - $78,775 (most major metros in CA, MA, NY); varies by final work location for other states.
