ddc-dine-careers is seeking a Technical Writer to join the ITA AI Center of Excellence. In this role, you will create clear, accurate, and accessible technical documentation for AI systems, applications, and processes, ensuring it meets federal standards and user needs.
What You'll Do
- Research, write, edit, and maintain technical documentation.
- Develop user guides, system manuals, standard operating procedures, and reports.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and subject matter experts.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content.
- Ensure documentation complies with Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Maintain version control and documentation repositories.
- Support documentation updates for system changes and releases.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- U.S. Citizenship (required). Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI or higher background investigation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 4 years of experience producing technical documentation for IT systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience documenting AI, data, or cloud-based systems.
- Familiarity with Agile development environments.
- Experience supporting federal government programs.
- Knowledge of documentation tools and content management systems.

You will support the ITA AI Center of Excellence.

This is a hybrid position based in Washington, DC.
