Scientific Research Corporation is hiring a Technical Writer for the Carry-on Special Technologies Engineering and Integration (STEI) team. You will be responsible for researching, writing, editing, and proofreading technical data used in critical documentation such as manuals and procedures.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate productively with subject matter experts within an agile environment to develop appropriate technical documentation.
- Ensure technical documentation is accurate, complete, and meets editorial and government specifications, adhering to configuration management standards for quality, graphics, format, and style.
- Document the planning and implementation of security controls, processes, and procedures.
- Draft and verify the accuracy of standard documentation sets.
- Employ developed communication skills and technical writing techniques to express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in technical writing, English, or equivalent work experience.
- Possess an active TS/SCI clearance.
- Five or more years of technical writing experience.
- Basic knowledge of XML.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Customer-focused and a self-starter.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in technical writing or English.
- Previous experience with XML.
- Be DoD 8140-compliant with the equivalent of an IAT II certification (Security+ or higher).
