Electronic Arts is seeking a Technical Writer to join the Frostbite game engine team. You will create and maintain the technical documentation and learning resources that help game creators master the engine. You'll work with distributed teams and subject matter experts within an environment focused on game engine innovation.
What You'll Do
- Create and maintain Frostbite documentation and learning resources.
- Communicate complex technical information in a clear, accessible way.
- Sustain and improve the quality of existing documentation by addressing bugs and feedback reports.
- Contribute to concurrent projects across different teams and deliverables.
- Work with SMEs to learn about, test, use, and upskill in engine features and workflows.
- Participate in defining requirements and acceptance criteria for new documentation tools and workflows.
What We're Looking For
- 3 or more years of experience writing documentation for software, games, or game engines.
- Proven ability to write clear, accurate technical documentation.
- Experience working on concurrent documentation projects across multiple product areas.
- Working knowledge of content management systems and version control.
- Openness to exploring the use of AI tools and workflows in your daily work.
- Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
- To be considered, you must provide two technical writing samples.
Nice to Have
- Basic knowledge of C++.
Team & Environment
You will be part of a distributed team reporting to the Senior Manager of the Frostbite Documentation Team. You will collaborate with developers to shape the future of gaming technology.
Work Mode
This is a hybrid position based in Vancouver, BC or Montreal, QC.
