HSI is hiring a Technical Training Specialist - NERC to develop and deliver training programs focused on the operation of the electrical power grid. You will serve as a Subject Matter Expert, creating both online and instructor-led curriculum for generation, transmission, and distribution systems.

What You'll Do

Participate in all aspects of training development and delivery for technical programs.
Monitor emerging changes in NERC training standards and help develop new curriculum to meet them.
Plan, develop, and implement technical product training programs for customers.
Function as a subject matter expert for technical training and simulation.
Provide one-on-one student support during scheduled Instructor Hours.
Follow up with students after NERC Prep class completion to gather feedback for improvement.
Analyze training needs to develop new programs or modify existing ones.
Perform technical writing and instructional design to improve course materials.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor's of Science degree and four years of experience in power grid operations, or an equivalent combination totaling eight years of education and experience.
Current North American Reliability Corporation (NERC) System Operator Certification is required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching, training, or presenting to an audience.
Proficiency with Systematic Approach to Training and evidence-based adult learning techniques.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and team-focused skills.
Excellent communication skills (presentation, verbal, written) with the ability to relate to audiences of different levels.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project deadlines through effective organization.
