Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. is hiring a Technical Trainer Senior to join our Technical Training team. In this role, you will apply your expertise in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) to create and validate training products and services for Canadian and international defense programs. You'll ensure our training solutions meet the rigorous standards of military customers.
What You'll Do
- Follow the ADDIE model to analyze, design, evaluate, and validate training.
- Contribute to Master Training Plans and materials aligned with naval standards and policies.
- Represent the Technical Training team as a Subject Matter Expert in training analysis, design, and solutions.
- Design training solutions to meet technical requirements for military customers in various environments.
- Contribute to Training Needs Assessments, Needs Analysis, and Instructional Analysis, producing final documentation to support production.
- Author Master Lesson Plans and develop related materials like student handouts, instructor guides, and assessments, primarily for the Combat Management System (CMS).
- Support courseware development, including quality assurance and testing of training methods and media.
- Contribute to the development of assessment strategies, validation processes, tools, activities, and final reports.
- Function effectively within a hybrid workforce.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, ISD, Learning Science, or a similar field, OR 3+ years of professional training design experience, OR 6+ years in Naval Combat Operations.
- Experience developing technical training solutions for military customers.
- Experience designing traditional, blended, and virtual training across interactive media instruction levels 1 through 4.
- Knowledge of the Canadian Armed Forces Individual Training and Education System, policies, and procedures.
- Experience supporting solutions within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience preparing and delivering training-specific briefs to internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience managing multiple conflicting priorities while progressing milestone tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative approach to enable effective teamwork.
- Ability to achieve a NATO Secret security clearance.
- Ability to work onsite as required.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Lockheed Martin’s CMS 330.
- Experience with Military trainers and synthetic training solutions.
- Familiarity with work planning and collaboration tools like Jira, Windchill, and Confluence.
- Aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.

- Experience delivering or facilitating training.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools like dominKnow, Storyline 3, Adobe Creative Cloud, Learning Management Systems, and video/audio editing software.
