INNIO is looking for a Technical Site Consultant – Gas Engines to be the central point of on-site coordination from foundation work through to commissioning. You will act as the key person on the ground, responsible for ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and technical standards while coordinating people, equipment, and making critical on-site decisions.
What You'll Do
- Plan and coordinate daily site work with contractors, suppliers, and project teams.
- Supervise mechanical and electrical installation, assembly, and commissioning preparation.
- Keep track of site documentation, deliveries, and materials.
- Make sure all site work follows safety rules and technical requirements (EHS).
- Support commissioning and handover activities.
- Be the main technical contact for all site-related matters.
- Conduct resource planning for the timely and deadline-oriented implementation of the execution phase.
- Manage the provision of site equipment (forklifts, work platforms, scaffolding, tools, consumables).
- Verify readiness for installation, inspect access routes, check storage areas, examine and approve foundations, and measure installation positions.
- Supervise and monitor engine positioning and final assembly of internal piping and wiring.
- Monitor the professional and contract-compliant execution of services by subcontractors.
- Supervise the establishment of commissioning readiness, including cleaning, leak testing, and pressure testing of plant components.
- Coordinate commissioning activities (customer meetings, etc.) in close collaboration with the commissioning team.
What We're Looking For
- Engineering degree (mechanical or electrical).
- Commercial and business management understanding.
- Experience in site management for power plant execution, including material management.
- Performance-oriented personality with proficiency in problem-solving.
- Good communication skills with people on the construction site as well as at the executive level.
- Good English & native Romanian language skills (writing and speaking).
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Team player with a strong ability to motivate.
- Self-starter mentality and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel nationally up to 90% of the time.
