Vodafone is hiring a Technical Publications Writer to join our team and develop, revise, and maintain critical user documentation for enterprise-level software solutions. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create accurate, accessible, and role-specific content across multiple formats.
What You'll Do
- Develop clear, concise, and comprehensive user documentation for a range of software applications.
- Gather information from business requirements, design documents, product demos, and interviews with subject matter experts.
- Create audience-appropriate, role-based documentation.
- Develop content using standard authoring tools, templates, and single-sourcing methodologies.
- Edit UI text, including prompts, labels, and error messages, ensuring consistency and clarity.
- Manage content review cycles and collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine documentation.
- Deliver high-quality documentation within agreed timelines.
- Analyse existing and new content for opportunities to streamline, reuse, or optimise through single-sourcing.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Strong technical aptitude and are able to learn new systems and tools efficiently.
- Adaptable, proactive, and enthusiastic about continuous learning.
- Experience working with localisation best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English, Technical Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years’ experience creating enterprise software documentation.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with MadCap Flare.
- Familiarity with Camtasia, Contentful, Adobe Acrobat, Visio, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, or GIT.
