Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Technical Project Manager to lead the execution of technical software projects within a collaborative Agile environment. You will facilitate project planning, remove roadblocks, and ensure delivery aligns with strategic goals.
What You'll Do
- Lead project teams of engineers, QA analysts, and product owners through Agile processes such as sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Facilitate the creation and maintenance of project charters, technical documentation, and work breakdown structures.
- Track progress using tools like Jira or TFS; monitor sprint velocity, manage burndown charts, and report against project schedules.
- Identify and mitigate project risks including technical debt and architectural challenges.
- Ensure documentation is reviewed and approved per process, and all records are archived appropriately upon project closure.
- Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and visibility on status, scope changes, and resource planning.
- Drive efficient use of technical resources, supporting productivity and on-time delivery across multiple teams.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering), project management certification, or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of project management experience in a software development environment.
- Agile/Scrum experience required.
- Strong understanding of the full SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Comfortable managing cross-functional teams.
- Experience using project management tools like Jira or TFS.
- Demonstrated leadership skills including servant leadership, facilitation, and coaching.
- Excellent time management and prioritization capabilities with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trust and foster collaboration.
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
