As a Technical Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of large-scale Audio Visual, Broadcast, and Low Voltage systems integration projects. This role requires a field-focused approach, with regular presence on construction sites to ensure technical precision, schedule alignment, and client satisfaction across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the planning, execution, and closeout of technically advanced AV and broadcast installations, ensuring alignment with client specifications and construction timelines
- Prepare and deliver project documentation including progress reports, budgets, proposals, and technical presentations to stakeholders
- Lead project meetings, design workshops, and coordination sessions with engineering, subcontractors, and client teams
- Guide junior project managers through mentorship and collaborative oversight
- Establish and manage project budgets, implementing cost control measures and financial reconciliation processes
- Oversee vendor selection, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations to ensure optimal technical and financial outcomes
- Coordinate engineering deliverables to meet complex technical requirements and integration standards
- Identify potential risks early and implement proactive mitigation strategies
- Ensure AV and broadcast system coordination aligns with overall building construction milestones
- Conduct routine site inspections to verify compliance with project standards and exceed client expectations
Qualifications
- Project Management certification or relevant degree
- Minimum of 4 years managing AV, Broadcast, or Low Voltage systems projects, particularly in new construction environments
- Proven field experience managing on-site project execution, not limited to remote or office-based oversight
- Experience handling RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, budgets, and subcontractor coordination in construction settings
- Ability to lead large teams and manage multiple concurrent projects with precision
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in client-facing presentations
- Working knowledge of G Suite, SmartSheet, and MS Office applications
- Must be able to commute to South Bay and Silicon Valley client sites
- Willingness to travel up to 75% as required by project demands
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with primary work conducted on client sites across the San Francisco Bay Area, New York/New Jersey/Tri-State region, and other project locations. The position requires consistent on-site presence to support active construction and integration phases.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from $120,000 to $140,000, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive medical coverage is provided, with 100% of employee premiums covered.
