About the Role

Technical Production Lead

This role leads the integration of engineering and production functions for high-pressure media and entertainment clients. As a central technical contact, you will align control room operations with studio floor activities, ensuring smooth communication and execution during live broadcasts and technical rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical bridge between production teams and engineering, facilitating real-time decision-making during live events.
  • Lead planning sessions to define program roadmaps, identify dependencies, and allocate resources effectively across cross-functional groups.
  • Translate production needs into actionable technical strategies, evaluating alternative solutions to meet tight deadlines.
  • Deliver daily status updates and issue summaries to stakeholders, maintaining transparency on progress and blockers.
  • Monitor compliance with standard operating procedures and ensure all team members adhere to established protocols.
  • Oversee the resolution of technical issues as they arise, maintaining system reliability and broadcast continuity.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 7 years in technical program or product management roles supporting live TV or media production environments.
  • Proven experience working directly with engineering teams to design scalable, reliable systems.
  • Track record of managing cross-functional technical programs, including scheduling, process development, and roadmap ownership.
  • Strong ability to define technical requirements and drive consensus across teams.

Preferred:

  • 8+ years managing complex technology initiatives with a focus on sustainability and long-term scalability.
  • Experience building repeatable processes across distributed teams and managing release coordination.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role with assignments across multiple regions including Northern California, Los Angeles, New York Tri-State, the Southeastern U.S., and the Rocky Mountain region. Work schedules vary by project, with summer shifts starting at either 8:30 AM or 10:30 AM Eastern Time. The position follows a flex workforce model, offering dynamic, project-based engagements.

Compensation & Benefits
