McKesson is looking for a Technical Product Owner to lead the delivery of innovative software solutions within our application modernization initiatives. In this role, you will bridge the gap between product strategy and engineering execution, ensuring technical teams are aligned with business goals. You'll work cross-functionally with developers, UX/UI designers, and other product owners to drive scalable, user-centric solutions from concept to release.

What You'll Do

Define and maintain product vision, strategy, and roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into clear user stories and technical specifications.
Become a subject matter expert (SME) for future implementations and product capabilities.
Own and manage the engineering backlog using Jira or Azure DevOps.
Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Ensure alignment between product goals and development execution.
Partner with engineering teams to ensure feasibility and clarity of requirements.
Participate in architecture and design discussions to guide product decisions.
Support API design, system integration, and platform scalability.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure intuitive, user-friendly experiences.
Contribute to wireframe reviews, design validation, and usability testing.
Work with QA teams to define test cases and perform user acceptance testing (UAT).
Ensure releases meet functional, performance, and usability standards.
Create and maintain product documentation, system requirements, and release notes.
Support onboarding and training for internal teams and end users.
Define and monitor engineering KPIs and usage metrics.
Use data and feedback to drive continuous improvement across products and processes.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
7+ years of experience in product management, technical product ownership, or software design.
Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP acceptable).
Ability to read and write basic SQL and Python scripts.
Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with enterprise software platforms and SaaS products.

Familiarity with compliance and security standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).
Developer background or hands-on technical experience.
Knowledge of AI tools used to accelerate software development.
