What You'll Do
Guide the technical vision for core API platforms in chat, feeds, and content moderation. You'll align engineering execution with product strategy, ensuring systems scale efficiently and meet real-world demands. Oversee team delivery, support key customer rollouts, and maintain high standards in code quality and system reliability.
Collaborate across disciplines to refine roadmaps and prioritize initiatives that balance innovation with stability. As a leader, you'll mentor engineers, improve development practices, and foster a culture where distributed systems challenges are met with thoughtful tradeoff analysis.
Requirements
- Recent experience shipping production-level code, with a track record of maintaining high-performance systems
- Active involvement in open-source projects or public code repositories
- Proven experience hiring and leading teams of skilled engineers, particularly in product-driven environments
- Strong grasp of distributed systems design and the compromises involved in scaling infrastructure
- Ability to diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks in complex, high-traffic environments
- Hands-on use of AI-powered tools to improve development speed and accuracy
- Demonstrated commitment to writing fast, dependable code
- Familiarity with startup or venture-backed company dynamics preferred
- Passion for building APIs used by thousands or millions of users
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Go is a plus, though not required—willingness to learn is sufficient
