BT is hiring a Technical Delivery Microwave Specialist to contribute to the successful delivery of mobile solutions for our customers. In this role, you will collaborate closely with teams to plan and enhance microwave networks, assessing requirements, designing and configuring links, and ensuring system performance.
What You'll Do
- Transform complex data into simple, business-friendly narratives for senior audiences to influence decision-making across transmission planning and deployment.
- Work with planning, delivery, operational and commercial teams to ensure contracted outputs are met, providing contractual clarity and translating requirements into actionable deliverables.
- Support the optimisation of operational processes across Mobile Infrastructure Delivery, proactively identifying performance risks and driving corrective actions or improvements.
- Own end-to-end management of customer and supplier contracts, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, compliance and delivery expectations, and lead contract reviews and commercial risk assessment.
- Manage offshore teams monitoring workload volumes and assessing efficiency, and maintain strong collaboration across enterprise-wide teams including Finance, Legal, Engineering and Supply Chain.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent problem-solving capability with an ownership mindset, driving automation and process improvement.
- Ability to communicate complex data clearly and simply to operational managers and senior leadership.
- Advanced Excel including modelling, automation and reporting.
- Proficiency in Power BI/Tableau for data visualisation and storytelling.
- Proven Microwave, Link Config, Radio Planning and frequency assignment experience at an advanced level.
- Proficiency in utilising Transmission planning guidelines and demonstrate expertise in employing Microwave (MW) toolsets, including Iqlink and SIAE/NEC MW live management tools.
- Excellent commercial and contractual understanding, with the ability to interpret contract obligations, manage service performance, and support commercial governance.
- Able to manage and track a P&L, including budget control, financial forecasting, variance analysis, and commercial risk identification.
- Have experience managing offshore teams, monitoring their workload volumes, assessing efficiency, and managing overall performance to ensure consistent service delivery.
