Tether is seeking a Technical Architect to bridge technical strategy and hands-on implementation. In this pivotal role, you will design robust and scalable architectures, drive consistency, and mentor engineering teams across our diverse portfolio of apps, SDKs, SaaS platforms, and distributed systems.
What You'll Do
- Design robust and scalable architectures for systems such as apps, SDKs, and SaaS platforms, tailored for the specific tech stack.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into clear, practical architectures.
- Write and review technical proposals to ensure alignment with agreed architecture and long-term technical direction.
- Contribute to guiding development through code reviews, building PoCs, defining skeleton structures, and ensuring technical consistency.
- Promote architectural standards and best practices across the organization for consistency and sustainable development.
- Analyze and document existing architectures using open standards such as the C4 model.
- Detect and explain core algorithms and design patterns that form the backbone of key systems.
- Identify and record Important Technical Decisions (ITDs), ensuring they are captured and traceable.
- Evaluate and evolve existing architectures to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Mentor and enable engineering teams in system design, architectural principles, and documentation best practices.
- Keep up to date with new tools, frameworks, and ideas to improve systems, processes, and developer experience.
