Role Overview
As a Technical Architect, you will play a central role in shaping the technical direction of solutions, ensuring alignment with both business goals and technical excellence. Based in Newcastle at the Cobalt business park, this position follows a hybrid model requiring at least three days per week onsite, with additional flexibility for client or partner site visits as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evaluate technical architecture to meet functional and non-functional requirements
- Contribute to decisions on hardware, network infrastructure, system software, and security frameworks
- Collaborate across technical and business teams to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and secure
- Engage directly with technology stacks relevant to active projects, ensuring hands-on involvement in design and implementation
- Present architectural proposals to governance bodies, including senior leadership, and support approval processes
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to distinguish between functional and non-functional requirements and apply core design principles and patterns effectively. You should be skilled at translating stakeholder needs into clear, actionable design documentation.
Essential experience includes one or more of the following: working in a DevOps environment, enterprise software development, system testing (both functional and non-functional), technical leadership within a team, or presenting solutions to governance panels, including executive-level stakeholders.
A minimum of five years of UK residential history is required, and candidates must be willing to undergo a Security Clearance process.
