You will collaborate closely with customers to ensure satisfaction and investment return on VMware solutions. As the primary customer liaison, you'll be accountable for identifying and addressing business and technical challenges impacting customer success. You will engage resources across VMware's entire organization (sales, product management, education, R&D, support). Your role involves expanding solution adoption by driving relationships internally and externally to influence positive change. TAMs report key account metrics and contribute to program development activities. Success in the Role: Performance Outcomes (6-12 months) • Establish long-term client relationships understanding strategic goals • Provide project leadership and architectural guidance for Network Virtualization initiatives • Collaborate with cross-functional VMware project teams • Map VMware solutions to unique business requirements • Maintain current knowledge of load balancing and security solutions • Lead challenging requests across multiple client engagements • Offer constructive product feedback based on customer use-cases • Function as an advisory resource for "Best Practices" • Manage customer engagement milestones • Act as extraordinary customer advocate • Ensure strategic long-term value alignment • Demonstrate agility in customer responsiveness Work Requirements: • 12+ years networking experience with VMware products • 2+ years customer-facing technological consulting • BS degree preferred or equivalent experience • Comprehensive VMware product knowledge • VMware Certified Professional Certification • Technical background in networking and security • 20% travel capability • Domain expertise in Cloud Infrastructure & Networking • Advanced understanding of network security concepts • Extensive knowledge of networking technologies • Experience integrating diverse networking environments • Understanding of modern IT and DevOps operations • Systems management process familiarity • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to explain complex technical concepts • Strong problem-solving capabilities • Independent and collaborative work proficiency Leadership Culture: Supportive management focused on team and individual success.
