Chainalysis is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager to lead our interpretation and application of U.S. GAAP, focusing on complex and judgmental areas. You will be a key part of building scalable accounting policies and ensuring financial statements are audit-ready and compliant as we grow.
What You'll Do
- Research, evaluate, and document technical accounting positions under U.S. GAAP.
- Draft and maintain accounting position memos, white papers, and internal policy documentation.
- Own and update the company’s accounting policies and ensure their consistent application.
- Provide technical guidance and training to the broader accounting and finance team.
- Partner with external auditors, ensuring readiness and support during annual audits.
- Monitor and assess the impact of new accounting standards on the business.
- Partner with Legal, FP&A, HR, and other stakeholders to evaluate accounting implications of strategic initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting including topics such as ASC 606, ASC 805, ASC 718.
- Experience working with private or high-growth technology companies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- NetSuite experience and a strong command of Excel (unfazed by large data sets).
Nice to Have
- Experience in a SaaS environment with a Big 4 Accounting Firm and/or experience at a pre-IPO SaaS company.
- CPA.
