Brenntag North America, Inc. seeks a Technical Account Manager to provide technical solutions for pharmaceutical formulation development and manage key customer relationships. You will be responsible for driving business growth through upselling and cross-selling while collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical selling by offering effective solutions for pharma formulation development to create impactful business projects.
- Work closely with customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues during formulation development or manufacturing.
- Support technical inquiries to accelerate business development.
- Work as a team player to provide technical solutions to key customers.
- Work with the value-added service team to bring solutions that support business development.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key customers to assess needs, address concerns, and provide solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (industry market management, value-added service, customer service) to ensure seamless product/service delivery.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts to maximize revenue.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Prepare and present reports on account performance, sales forecasts, and market insights.
- Manage contract negotiations, renewals, and pricing for assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with suppliers to provide customer feedback for new product/service development.
- Plan customer visits independently and maintain competitor reports and customer records in CRM.
- Support the team with other responsibilities as required.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmaceutical Technologies, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical & Nutraceuticals manufacturing.
- Good business acumen and communication skills to build long-standing customer relationships.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to adapt and develop solutions as per customer needs with clear communication.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Good understanding of Salesforce CRM software and other relevant tools.
- Ability to travel to visit customers as needed.
- Strong collaboration, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- High competency working with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Self-motivated and disciplined approach.
- Proficiency in English.
Nice to Have
- Certification or training in sales, account management, or customer relationship management.
- Fluency in any Southeast Asian (SEA) language.
